Hit the mark!

My goal was pretty simple today. Write at least 5000 words. Honestly on a normal writing day that is easy to meet. Today though, today my heart was heavy with thoughts of Australia. My heart breaks for what is happening there. The millions of animals lost, the property lost...the lives lost. To say it occupied my mind today is putting it mildly.

With all of that though, I was able to get my word count goal in today. Just shy above it but I started out at 11:30am with 12,336 words and finished at 10pm with 17,581 words. I'm happy with that, especially with how far away my thoughts were today and how often I was not in the manuscript. Plus with how awful I feel from cedar allergies. My head is foggy and I went through two boxes of Kleenex today! LOL! Lord have mercy I don't like cedar.

Tomorrow is Sunday and it is my day off. No writing is planned. I'm hoping to get the dogs bathed and clean up my house some. My floors are begging to be mopped.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and please...if you can donate to help those in Australia...please do so!
